DISPOSAL OF SUBSTANTIAL
BUSINESS PREMISES

Background:

This was a complex Family Law matter that had been ongoing for many years. It involved a large portfolio of various properties.

Problem:

Parties could not agree on the value of a key asset which was also one of the places of business. This impasse was holding the settling of the total matter.

Solution:

Whilst working with the client’s solicitor and accountant, G&J developed a strategy to assess a base value and then proceeded to interview agents with a view to selling via an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Eventually, this plan was deemed fair and reasonable and was subsequently written into court orders, giving the client the runway to finally sell the property.

G&J then executed and managed the campaign, including all Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and subsequent negotiations with interested parties.

Outcome:

The entire matter was completed in a documented and transparent manner giving peace of mind and a way forward.

The property was sold, and the client was then able to move onto the next stage of closing out their settlement
